Last Two Commissions of the Year!

This was commissioned by the SF based Qatalyst to celebrate the corporate merger of Palm and HP.

A close up of the masterful painting of Marcus Sakoda, who helped me out with this project.

Commissioned as a gift from 6 Stanford Footballers to a mentor for Christmas. I added a faded, antique look to try and get the feel of an old sports team poster.

2010 Year in Review!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year great! In the past year I started a new Website, www.BayAreaCaricatures.com, built up a great bunch of reviews on Yelp.com, and drew for somewhere around 140 events across the Country. Not only was I able to continue drawing for events in the Bay Area, I also had the opportunity to work in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Long Beach California, Austin Texas, and more! I owe a very special thank you to EVENTtoons.com for making me a huge part of the events that Doug Shannon and his team of artists have put on!
My art has been commissioned for Richard Branson (virgin), Frank Quattrone (Qatalyst), John Rubenstein (Palm) and many other corporations from Xerox to Hewlett Packard.
I was able to draw for the Cartoon Art Museum, The Exploratorium, The Asian Art Museum, and The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art!
I am proud of the accomplishments of the past year, thankful to those who have helped me along the way, and I am looking forward to making 2011 even better!!

Happy Holidays to you and yours, and thank you for all of your support in the past year!

12-19-10 LAST EVENT OF THE YEAR!

This was my 4th or 5th job at Mission Blue Center in Brisbane, a popular community club house for Weddings, Birthdays, and other such family events. I drew 50 people in 2 hours, at about 2 1/2 minutes per person. A fun event to end the 2010 year!

12-17-10 Part 2, Kiewit Construction Holiday Party

My second year drawing for Kiewit Construction, with Bay Area pro's Marc Scmid, Zach Trenholm, and Big Al! Yet another gig through Doug Shannon. Visit www.EVENTtoons.com to book artists for any event!

12-17-10 Part One, Xerox

Thanks to Tad Barney at TheNose.com for this job! It was an early one, 6 am, but one of the most interesting jobs I have ever had. Ursula Burns, the CEO of Xerox, gave a talk with Q&A at Cisco systems main building, which has had visits from various Kings from other countries and even J.Lo (ha) !

Ursula's talk was inspirational and for me, it was based on an ethic of working extremely hard. As this was another in a long line of jobs for me without much break this season it kept me motivated and inspired to keep working. I met some really interesting people and the meeting showcased a wireless printing solution that Xerox has been working on, which fit perfectly with my digital process.

12-16-10 Company Party

I loved this sketch, the lady did too, she understood caricature and thought it captured her well.

This job came from a job this past Summer, where they saw me doing traditional sketches. The digital work pulled a crowd of spectators from the company and other people at the Bocce Ball play place/ Restaurant Camp De Bocce.

12-14-10 Part Two, Westin

I drew for a wedding a couple months ago at the Westin, and they called me up to have the co-workers drawn at this year's Holiday Party!

12-15-10 Part one, Traditional Job in SF

It's rare that I get to do traditional marker and paper sketches with other caricaturist pals!
