Oracle Commission, January 30th 2011

The last job of January 2011 allowed Bay Area Caricatures to show how we could put on a great party for a great client. With pre-drawn sketches before the event and multiple artists, we drew everyone who wanted a sketch and got great feedback from a happy client!

For this event, Oracle requested 4 digital caricaturists, and I was happy to bring along some friends...

Illustrator and accomplished caricaturist Zach Trenholm
Salah Khudari, an excellent and reliable caricaturist.

Illustrator and painter with skills Marcus Sakoda.
Oracle commissioned 12 sketches of VIPs to frame and place around the event, which generated a lot of buzz for us caricaturists!

When asked how they would take out fellow retail competitor SAP, these Oracle employees had some clever ways their talents and traits could eliminate the competition.

Hockey Coaches, January 24th, 2011

This commission was for some youth league hockey coaches. Although each was a lot of fun to draw, I must admit any caricature I can draw that includes a Star Wars reference will hold a special place in my heart.

A beautiful night in SF for a wedding, this one took place on the 15th floor of the Clift Hotel, which is on the same block as my offices in downtown San Francisco.

10-2-10 Part One, Bloomingdale's hires Bay Area Caricature artist Jon Casey

October 2nd turned out to be one of my busiest and longest days this year. I set up at Bloomingdale's around 11am, and continued until 4, taking off in time to make it to a wedding at 5pm.
The event at Bloomingdale's was to raise money for a pet adoption agency, and it was the 4th or 5th time I have drawn there within the past year.

8-21-10 Wedding

Without fail, it seems I am always asked to stay late at weddings. I had a line 20 people deep as soon as this evening began, and managed to get almost all of the guests in attendance drawn. The bride was a hairstylist, and so there were some funny poses from the made up ladies towards the end.

8-20-10, the Brattle Group, picnic party!

After the party, I collaged everyone together to frame at the office.

8-8-10, Virgin America Party

My second year drawing for Virgin America's annual holiday picnic party, I managed to get in about 50 people in 4 hours.

8-7-10, winery birthday party!

Originally booked for 2 hours, I drew for over four straight hours at this birthday party!

8-1-10, Party at Konstantin Othmer's, with Tesla Roadsters to test drive!

Julia Othmer, the hosts little sister, and singer/songwriter. Click on the link to view her Lilith Fair page.
A silicon valley businessman, who ran a site for online gaming.

Tesla was there, giving free test drives to anyone interested.
I sent a CD of all the sketches to Konstantin, and go this reply back:

Hi Jon –

Got the CD! Thanks!!!!!

Great work – everyone loved having you there! And you were competing with Tesla, no easy feat!
