Another really packed party, friends, family, even the teachers came to this one. There was tons of food, and a live Bird Show. When I set up the whole party lined up and for 3 hours I drew nonstop, for a total of 48 people. (Avg 3.75 minutes per face)

Rayan's family threw a surprise 50th Birthday party for her at KingFish in San Mateo!

Originally booked for 2 hours, I ended up drawing for over 4 hours! I experimented a bit with tones and highlights, and had a lot of fun with this group.

2-18-10 Yelp! Hires Bay Area Caricature Artist Jon Casey!

(Thanks to Anya R. for this photo)

Yelp! is a great Bay Area Start up with a unique and successful business plan. If you are looking for anything from a good Sushi restaurant to a reliable mechanic, you can go on Yelp and see what real customers have to say about their experience with the business. They started booming around the same time I started my caricature business here in the Bay Area, and my customers have consistently used Yelp.com to review my services. Yelp brought me in to entertain their "elites", whose ratings appear hundreds of times on the site.

2-15-10, First Birthday Hires Jon Casey Bay Area Caricatures !

Luca's Mom hired me for his First Birthday. I was asked to stay an extra hour, but at the end of it I looked around and realized there was no one left to draw! A really fun party, complete with a clown who's last name was "Diaper-Baby".

2-4-10, a Bay Area Caricature Artist Conglomerate Party Sketch Power Group!

Local Bay Area Caricature Artist Doug Shannon brought together a group of the Best of the Bay Caricature Artists, and got us working a job in Santa Clara while he took off to Orlando Florida to draw his digital caricature magic at another gig.

We had some time to kill, and partnered up to sketch each other. This is Big Al Lopez sketch of me. Thanks Big Al!

This hilarious sketch of Zach Trenholm was drawn by Marc Schmid.
Here is Zach Trenholm, an artist and illustrator whom I have a lot of respect for.
Marc Schmid, a hilarious guy. My first night working with him, hopefully not my last.
And also, Al Lopez, known as Big Al. Super nice guy who could entertain any group of people.
The first sketches of the night, left Zach Trenholm, and mine on the right.

These last few sketches are examples of my work from the evening. We were such a hit that all four of us were asked to stay an extra hour on top of the 3 we already worked. It is rare these days that I get to work with other artists, and I feel especially lucky to get to work with these three artists, who are all Bay Area Legends.

For anyone looking for total caricature entertainment, I could suggest nothing better than hiring the crew of all four of us. You could entertain an entire West Coast Construction group like the above, and you would get the best live caricature art possible!

1-31-10 Red Egg and Ginger Party Hires Bay Area Caricature Artist Jon Casey!

In Chinese culture, a baby's first month birthday calls for a celebration. Proud parents introduce their latest addition to friends and relatives by holding a red egg and ginger party. Traditionally, the baby's name is also announced at this time.

This party was held at the 5A5 Steak Club in San Francisco, where I drew caricatures for a couple of hours, and was then asked to stay a little longer to get a last few drawings in.
